Terms of Use
Version 1.1 · Effective September 29, 2026
The rules for using AffordableHealth.ca. It is a directory and matching service only. Use it lawfully and in good faith.
1. Acceptance
AffordableHealth.ca ("the Platform") is operated by Homula Inc. ("we", "us"). By using the Platform you agree to these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, and — depending on your role — the Patient Disclosure & Usage Agreement or the Professional Disclosure & Participation Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. The service
The Platform is an online directory and matching service connecting patients with independent licensed Professionals who offer reduced fees. We are not a health-care provider and do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We are not a party to any agreement for care between a patient and a Professional.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and be responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe are being misused.
4. Acceptable use
You must not: use the Platform for anything unlawful; misrepresent your identity or credentials; scrape, copy, or harvest data; attempt to bypass security or rate limits; upload malware; harass or defame anyone; use the Platform to solicit business off-platform in order to avoid the subscription; or use "Available now" or messaging for emergencies, spam, or abuse.
5. Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you submit (profile text, messages, reviews). You grant us a licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating the Platform. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to submit it. We may remove content that breaches these terms or the law.
6. Reviews
Reviews must be genuine, based on a real booking, and free of clinical detail, personal attacks, or unlawful content. We may moderate or remove reviews and may remove a Professional’s ability to be reviewed if abuse occurs.
7. Fees
The Platform is free for patients. Professionals pay a subscription as described in their agreement. Patients pay Professionals directly for care; we do not process those payments.
8. Intellectual property
The Platform, its design, and its content (excluding user content) are owned by AffordableHealth.ca and protected by law. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for: the conduct, advice, services, or fees of any Professional; decisions you make based on the Platform; or indirect, incidental, or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify AffordableHealth.ca against claims and costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Platform.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms; for material changes we will ask you to accept them. The current version is at /legal/terms.
